Being a king is not only a childish wish. Being a king means to be rich, to determine, to have fun, to be respected by your people and much more. Being a king means to be in charge of something too. Who knows the stress and crucifying nightmares a king has?Who knows his secret wishes and desires? The play is a surreal, poetical and musical performance about three very different kings, torn between dream and reality

ASThA (Ahmedabad Society for Theatre & Arts), an arm of Neekoee Foundation, a not-for-profit organization comprising eminent citizens, aims to bring in learning through visual and performance arts, in Gujarat.

ASThA’s objective is to create a hub for Theatre Activity in Ahmedabad and bring in thought provoking productions, deliver top quality workshops, support local artists, children’s theatre programs, provide a platform to community members and students to engage with artists of international repute and prepare the coming generation of creative people from Gujarat.
We take inspiration from the Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai and the Ranga Shankara theatre in Bengalūru.

These two institutions: Prithvi Theatre and Rangashankara, have changed the way theatre is received and performed, not just in their respective cities (Mumbai and Bengaluru), but also in the rest of India. These are affordable, state-of-the-art spaces, with world-class equipment, and function as living, breathing spaces that showcase the best of theatre from across India and the world. These spaces are managed and curated in a professional manner, and are investing in the next-generation of theatre practioners through training programmes, workshops, children’s theatre programmes and rural outreach programmes.
